The Stanmore Society was founded in 1959 as an amenity society. As such, it is allowed to comment non-statutorily on planning and historic building matters within the locality, or within a particular conservation area. Its purpose is to promote, preserve and protect Stanmore's community, heritage and natural assets including the Green Belt and conservation areas.
The committee meets every month, working hard for a better Stanmore for our members, residents, visitors, shop-keepers, shoppers, passers-through. Care to join?
